On the nose are aromas of dark chocolate, coffee and bacon. The palate combines the salty smoked bacon with roasted malts. It finishes strong and bitter.

Niesamowite piwo pachnace beconem, wedzonka i dymem tlustawosc i oleistosc piwa powala. Do tego skropione mnostwem mocnej i aromatycznej czarnej kawy. Piwo jest takze czarne smoliste wrecz ze srednia i moze niezbyt trwala piana ale totalnie dominuje kawa palony slod i lekka wedzonka. Z piciem i dluga degustacja posmak boczku maleje ale pachnie nadal boczkiem grilowanym nad grilem. A na deser czyli na sam koniec mamy moc i gorycz kawy a takze ciut prazonych orzeszkow i gozkiej czekolady. Polecam do miesa ciemnego.

Bottle from Dranken Geers. Black colour, brown foam. Medium carbonation. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate and lots of coffee. Smoky with taste of smoked bacon. Some salty notes. Very good but I liked the other beers in this serie more.

Bottle - Tons of coffee, roast, chocolate and a bit of smoke and peat. Jet black with a huge beige head. Dark roast, chocolate and coffee, but little smoke or peat. Great rich mouth feel. Great beer, just wanted more smoke.

0.33l bottle. Black body, thin brown head. Aroma and taste of smoke, chocolate, coffee with a light citrusy hoppyness. Very nice beer. Well balanced between the smoke and the hops.

(Bottle, 0.33 l , at Kitty’s, 20140509) The beer poured black. Its head was large, light brown and it lasted long. Aroma had liquorice, smoke, burnt malts and hops. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, ash, smoke, hops, liquorice and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. Way too burnt to be a brew I’d like.
