Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a hazy yellow-gold color with a small foamy yellow-white head that faded quickly but left good lacing. The aroma was tart and tangy lemon and yeast. The flavor was bitter, thin and watery with vague tart citric acid and a bit of grapefruit. Medium length tart citrus finish. Medium body. Disappointing.

Great malty pale ale with great balance. Light citrus hops that leave an almost minty sense. Cloudy orange pour with good head and lacing. Light bitter and citrus sour finish. Tap at Summerfest DC.

Sample at Lucky’s in Dayton. Pours a clear dark golden color with a medium off-white head that diminishes gradually. Short strings of lace on the glass. Aroma of hops and bready malt. Medium-bodied with a moderately bitter citrusy hops character with toasted malt behind it. The finish is floral with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.
