Tap at Keyaki spring 2018. Note sure why this was aged for 3 years. No word about it being Belgian at this point. Deep brown, clear. Lightly oxidized nose, caramel, chocolate, plums. Dry flavor, dried fruits, plums, raisins. cardboard. Boozy and a bit oxidized. I think they just lost the keg for three years and now are trying to hype it as something special.

Getreidiger Geruch. Im Antrunk mittelstarke Malzigkeit ohne Süße, geringfügig hopfig. Hintergründig etwas herb, für ein Single Hop Bier kommt der Hopfen erstaunlich schwach daher. Okay. 9/8/9/8//8

Tap at Kamikaze. Medium black, low, airy head. Ok nose, spicy, licorice, coffee, chocolate. Spicy Belgian yeast flavor, licorice and chocolate, rather light. Ok.

Hoshitdukiuo 6% on tap at Kamikaze, I thought it was a black IPA.... A deep cola black with a light beige head. A sharp herbal chocolatey aroma. The taste is bready chocolate with a light fruity hoppiness. Again not so memorable but sweet, bready & fruity.

Tap at CBM Koenji. Pours a fairly clear brown with a nice big soapy beige head. Roasted malt, cacao, fennel and prune with some grassy notes on the nose. Lots of cacao as it warms up with good roasted malt flavor throughout. Lightly bitter and dry finish with grassy hops standing up the roasted malt flavors. Almost porter like. Body is medium to light with average carbonation. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hoshitsukiyo on 08 Oct 2015 at 19:27 - Score: 7

dark brown color. Aniseed, licorice, chocolate in the nose. Yeast is very apparent. Very Belgian with roasted malts, chocolate, licorice, and fairly light body. Malty. Pretty good take on a low (by Belgian standards) dark ale. Very approachable. The finish is a bit quick
