Pumpkin Patch Ale is made with whole pumpkins that we chop up and roast by hand. The hand roast allows us to caramelize the natural sugars exactly as we like, which when combined with a delicate balance of spices creates the signature flavor of our classic fall-themed brew. We know you’ll appreciate the effort when you taste the difference roasting real pumpkins makes.

16 oz. can from H.E.B. Plus, Boerne, TX. Pours a clear, deep, dark copper color with a tight beige head and excellent retention. Good lacing. Caramel malt and subtle pie spices aroma. The taste follows the nose: Toasted caramel malt and toffee flavors up front, with subtle pumpkin pie spices in the finish. Sweet, but not too sweet. I guess the roasted pumpkins does make a difference. Really good seasonal flavor without being a spice bomb. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Low bitterness. Well done.

Poured from 473mL can (can now says ale brewed with roasted pumpkins and is 6.1% abv; canned 07/20/2024). Clear amber brown with small light beige head. Lots of pumpkin spices - clove, cinnamon, etc - medium bodied, okay for a pumpkin beer.

Big pounder can off the dollar clearance rack. Thought I did this one before. Pour is rather darkish pale or rather medium brown like a lighter colored iced tea. Head looks very nice tan and thickish. Nose is what else? Its smelling like pumpkin spices. Does it smells like roasted pumpkins? Not sure. First big gulp right from the can is yes, some pumpkin spice but dare I say I can pick up the roasted thing now. Has a good level of carbonation and follows thru with a little processed bitterness. I can pick out the spices but its not up front in yer face, just a little bit of spice, unlike so many unbalanced spice up front pumpkin beers. Yea, I find this a little interesting because I think I can taste that pumpkin in there. How many times have you had a so called pumpkin beer but could taste nothing but cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice and/or cloves? I remember East End makes a pumpkin beer called Nunkin that everybody thinks is a pumpkin beer but there is no pumpkin in it, the only thing it has is the spices, hehehh; fake pumpkin beer.

Big bottle shared at the Goblet Beer Store, Zagreb. Dark brownish amber, small tan head. Lots of spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, toasted pumpkin. Toasty, caramely, dry finish. Moderate carbonation, light finish. A bit thin.

Tap at 23 Craft Beerz. Light on spicing, but a touch there. Medium bodied. Pumpkin taste of course. Malty, light sweetness, caramel. Quite nice, but I'm still not a pumpkin beer person but can hardly hold that against the beer.

On tap. Pours a clear medium amber with a medium, frothy, long lasting, off-white head that laces. Sweet, spicy aroma of caramel malt, pumpkin, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, vanilla and cardamom. Sweet, spicy, pumpkin pie flavour of caramel malt, lightly roasted pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, cardamom and allspice with a mildly bitter finish. Medium body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Enjoyable.

Draft at PreFunk. Dark amber, opaque. Scent is mostly the pumpkin spice. Taste too, but body had some heft to it. Right in the wheelhouse, prefer ones that focus on the squash over the spice

Nicely made pumpkin beer. The pumpkin flavour is clean and relatively strong, a little artificial tasting, maybe due to filtering. Bottle in Sk. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
