Pine and citrus filled nose from the American hops. Malt sweetness in there as well. Drinkable hop juiciness is the key while remaining balanced with ample caramel presence.

It is said that the return of the HopDevil doesn’t mark the end, but rather the beginning. Each year he comes back to the hop harvest, where he thirsts for one thing – that bold hop flavor with notes of citrus and pine. It’s a menacingly delicious IPA brewed with American hops and meticulously crafted. After all, the devil is in the details.

On tap at Tadg’s in Kyoto. Mild funk in the aroma, nice golden amber color with a clean bitter pine taste. Pretty good.

Bottle. Picked up at random - very solid ipa. Solid all around and easy to drink. Would get again!

Bottle. Pours an orange/amber color with an average head that leaves some spotty lacing. Aroma is citrus hops & sweet malt. Taste is grapefruit rind & resinous pine bitterness. Finish is clean & dry. Solid.

Bottle from a trade, thanks! Pours a hazy amber with a yellowish brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has notes of citrus with a bit of resin and a sweet grain backing. Flavor is similar with a citrus and pine combination with some light resin and sweet grains in the finish.

Great IPA. Pours red, amazing lacing and good head. Aroma is very fruity. Nice grapefruit, tangerine. Bitter aftertaste. Average carbonation. Palate has depth. Enjoyed this more than the Sculpin I had earlier. Tap at Taberna Lupula in San Juan.

It pours a translucent amber gold body with a head that disappears within a couple seconds. Even with an aggressive pour, the head didn’t last. The smell has an earthy hoppiness that isn’t overbearing. I noticed a bit of clove and cinnamon. The taste has the earthy hoppiness again along with the clove and cinnamon. The palate has a low to medium amount of carbonation. Overall, a pretty good IPA that I would come back to.
