Pine and citrus filled nose from the American hops. Malt sweetness in there as well. Drinkable hop juiciness is the key while remaining balanced with ample caramel presence.
It is said that the return of the HopDevil doesn’t mark the end, but rather the beginning. Each year he comes back to the hop harvest, where he thirsts for one thing – that bold hop flavor with notes of citrus and pine. It’s a menacingly delicious IPA brewed with American hops and meticulously crafted. After all, the devil is in the details.

Bottled 355ml. -Dark orange coloured, medium sized off-white head, caramel and citrus in the nose. Moderate malty, very fruity and aromatic hoppy with strong bitter finish and aftertaste. Enjoyable IPA but let’s say I’ve expected even better one.

From/with ogivlado. Lovely misty dark amber body. Small off white head. Sticky peachy malty nose. Sweet malty base, peachy, tea-like hopiness. Quite bitter. Hmmm. Grows on you. Nicely aromatic. I’ll try to try this fresher.

Pours dark amber with a fading head.Nose shows toasted malt, nutty malt, caramel and resinous hops. Not as hoppy as I expected.Similar flavours. Perhaps the hops have faded. Too much malt and not enough hops.Could use a bit more carbonation.

There’s an overtone of citrus with some caramel and resin on the nose, but it’s the caramel that really comes through in the tasting - it’s almost a chocolatey underlay with a very smooth, hoppy finish. I wouldn’t call this a classic IPA as it’s a bit too malty for that, but it’s a nice drink all the same.

Bottle from Cornelius. Hazy orange/red body with a thin white head. Light carbonation. Light lacing. Floral aroma - distinct aroma of rose petals. Hints of honey, lemon and Turkish delight. Flavour of sweet malt balanced by lovely hop bitterness. A little peppery. Pine and orange notes. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft carbonation. A solid IPA.

35,5 cl bottle @ home, EB 24.03.2012
Aroma has hops with resin and exotic fruits, but also some bready malt. Flavour is hoppy and sweet with bready malt and resin. Hints of alcohol in the finish. Also hints of cardboard on some sips, maybe this is a bit too old? Too sweet and sticky, but the hops are rather nice anyway.

12 oz. bottle. Purchased @ Table and Vine, West Springfield, MA. Used a shaker. Rusty orange color, some head retention. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, with medium carbonation. The flavor was grapefruit, orange, and caramel with a dry finish. Solid.
