Tap at iBrew. Called Sicilian Rouge here. Lots of red tomato colour. Small white head. Aroma is herbs (basil really) and tomato. Pizza beer! Bit wheaty too. Taste is hint of tomato, some bitterness, herbs again, slightly citrus, coriander. Quite crisp. Nice, weird, half is enough, but glad I tried it. Has just enough beer characteristics to make it nice.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Shared at a tasting. Pours a hazy pinkish-red with a small half-finger of soapy, white foam. Basil aromas on the nose with some wheat and tomato. Nice Belgian yeast undertones as well. Nose is very saison yeast-like. Light body, with above average carbonation. Sweet on the palate with that Belgian character throughout. Sweet finish with some light pepper. Not bad a all but the body is a little too light for my liking. --- Beer merged from original tick of Fruity Tomato on 23 Nov 2015 at 14:16 - Score: 6

5% A tomato & basil ale from Hokkaido at Kamikaze. A pinkish red very reminiscent of tomato juice with a thick white head of foam. It totally smells like a pizza! The flavor is a spicy clove beer with basil & tomato overtones. It was surprisingly good.

hazy red amber color. Nose is pretty close to a white with lots of coriander and soap with only a touch of tomato. The mouth is very rounded with lots of tomato and basil. Smooth, but never over powering. Very drinkable and enjoyable. Lingering tomato and basil finish. Nice beer.

Draft at GJBF 2009, Osaka. Strong basil nose, fruity. Basil and tomato flavor. Very interesting and actually very well made, if misguided. A good, light, pale ale with basil and tomato. Rather nasty, but they did a good job with it. Might go well with certain light lunches that include Buffalo Mozzerella.
