Our Fathom India Pale Lager combines time-honored lagering techniques with the hop profiles of a West Coast IPA recipe. The cold-fermenting lager yeast provides a clean base that allows the citrus and pine aromas from the hops to really shine. The result is a gold medal beer with a refreshing, easy drinking character and just the right amount of depth.

From tap. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is grapefruity and peachy. Teaish. Sweet and toasted malty. Bitter and herbal. Dry and bitter finish.

On tap @ Mudville. A near clear golden one with a medium sized light lacing just off-white top. Really fruity and delicious nose here. Lots of peachy fruitiness, in way i would have guessed this is a ale. It also has traces of fresh pine cones and res sweet apples. Lovely. It has a little bit more of a strong pilsner in the taste. Some alcohol tones, but it's really well hopped. Light oily on the mouthfeel and below average prickling on the carbonation. I get lots of pear ice cream here. Quite a lot really. Not sure why though. Light drymouthing finish with a little bit of alcohol. Quite a good one. 16.06 2013

Slightly hazy dark yellow body with a tall, sticky, white head. The aroma is sweet and grassy. The flavor is sweet, following the aroma. Just a touch of bitterness in the finish. Medium body. Just not a big fan of the sweet, strong Pale Lagers so far. Thanks to crajun for sending this one!

Rating from two days ago up the river. Bomber. Aroma is doughy, catty, pineapple, gun metal (not intrusive), wet hayfield, skunk (not too off-putting). Smells like a lot of German lagers after the catty tropical hop notes fade out. Pours hazy cantaloupe with a medium off-white head with great retention; leaves some lace. Taste is bitter backed by a nice candy sweetness, grainy with a lingering bitter finish. Carbonation is high, medium body. Doesn’t taste exactly fresh. Don’t see a date on the bottle. Nevertheless, it’s not bad, but I expect more from this brewery. It’s kind of dull, but I’m sure it was better fresh.

Tasting at the ever gracious ChrisO’s. Thanks to our host for this winner. Clear pale gold beer, good fluffy white head. Palate is very light and airy. Superfine carbonation. Very light malt base, slightly sweet. Little floralness. Hops are a nice combo of mild skunk, resinous orange and mild tropical fruits. Light airy finish. Tasty and super drinkable.

Bottle thanks to Chriso. It pours clear golden with a small white head. The nose is fresh, floral, lemony sherbet, candied orange peel and juicy peach. The taste is crisp, bitter, clean, dough, bitter-sweet feel, sherbet, florals, light grain, lemon, lime and orange peel with a dry, crisp finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Crisp and crushable. Very nice.

Riktigt trevlig.
