Our Fathom India Pale Lager combines time-honored lagering techniques with the hop profiles of a West Coast IPA recipe. The cold-fermenting lager yeast provides a clean base that allows the citrus and pine aromas from the hops to really shine. The result is a gold medal beer with a refreshing, easy drinking character and just the right amount of depth.

Draught @ Haket. Pours golden with a frothy offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving some thick sticky lacing and trace on the glass. Smell is fruity with white bread, overripe tropical fruits, moist grass, grapefruit hard candy, lemon zest, soil and pine needles. Taste is sweet and fruity with white bread, mango purée, pineapple juice, moist grass, moist soil, pine needles, resinous wood, cereal, lemon hard candy, lemon zest, orange peal and hints of alcohol. Mouthfeel is round, soft, slightly astringent and medium bodied. Finish is sweet, bitter and fruity with white bread, overripe tropical fruits, grapefruit rinds, resinous wood, moist grass, lemon peal and wine gums. Interesting but I imagine it’s much better if it hasn’t been forced to travel all the way here before being served...

Sampled at the 2014 Untapped festival in Fort Worth. Pours a clear gold with a slight orange hue and a white head htat dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a really nice citrus pine combination with resin underlying and a touch of earthy grain. Flavor has a really nice pine and citrus combination as well as grapefruit coming through.

Draught at Bishop’s Arms, Malmö, Gustav Adolf Torg
Deep blond color with creamy generous head. Wonderful fruity aroma, mature apricots. Round mouthfeel; sweet malt flavor, but also lean an easy to drink, with a good bitterness level, apricot fruitiness, and soft hop resins.
Balanced and very pleasant.

Bottle @ home, purchased from Craftshack. Pours a hazy bright orange appearance with a thin white head. Somewhat buttery, lightly toasted malty, herbal hoppy, a touch fruity aroma. Tangy, light veggie, buttery, herbal hoppy, a bit grassy, light vanila, lemon flavor. This bottle isn’t in particularly good shape which is becoming a theme of hoppy beers that I’ve purchased from Craftshack.
