Alpine’s original West Coast-style single IPA is made with Simcoe and Amarillo hops to strike a harmonious hop balance. Duet pours a hazy straw color and is topped with bright white beer foam. It offers a blast of resinous aromatics with notes of evergreen pine, orange zest, and hints of cedar. Big hoppy flavors mingle with geranial notes, while hints of citrus fruit and an overall lingering piney quality lend a touch of complexity to an otherwise simple and delicious IPA.

Bottle at Still, The Mirage. Hazy medium orange amber with a one finger lingering white head leaving patchy lace. Nose is light caramel with light pine, citrus, tropical fruit and light floral notes. Flavour follows with light caramel sweetness and a medium bitterness. Mouth is medium slick with average carbonation and a lingering bitter finish. 8/4/7+/4/16

Bottle from Beer Republic. Poured deep golden color with a thin white head. Resiny, grapefruity aroma, malts and hops. Biting bitterness, grapefruit, resin and malts in finish. Balanced and full bodied. Solid. Could be fresher but still really good.

Amber color, white head with good retention. Aroma has notes of orange zest, some grapefruit and reins. Flavor with good bitterness, oranges and grapefruit are mostly present, good maltiness. Bittery final, slightly creamy mouthfeel.

This unusually sized 22 oz bottle of Duet was picked up in Las Vegas during March Madness at a Total Wine and is now being tried on a super hot 100+ degree afternoon. The top is popped and the orange-gold liquid fills my New Belgium globe glass, both kept quite cold. There is a frothy, pure white head steadily replenished by an active carbonation. The nose is nice, pineapple, pine and grain. A taste gives a resiny bitterness, grass, hops, citrus and a light sweetness. Rather pleasant but not breakout for me.

0.355l bottle thanks to the Hungarian-Californian double agent, Cristobal37. Golden body with a huge white head and mad carbonation. The aroma is strong on pine and hop resin but it also has notes of lemon zest, grapefruit and some apricot maybe. No surprise that the taste is dominated by hops. Pine, grapefruit, lemon zest and mango comes to my mind. Sweet and quite bitter at the same time. Great IPA.

Nice pine sap and strong citrus aroma. Dark yellow color. Bitter hops taste at the beginning that mellows to a crisp finish.

bottle - Pours lightly hazy orange with a one finger head. The aroma is of citrus and resinous hops. The flavor has assertive hop bitterness and a decent malt balance. The citrus comes through nicely. Medium bodied. Very good.
