Tap at Taptime. Aroma has loads of coffee grounds. Maybe a less controversial coffee than last time. Taste is strong on the coffee bitterness, little bit of sweet maltiness afterwards but the coffee lingers in the background. Good stuff.

Bottle, 330 ml at Bungalow, Kyoto. Pours yellow with small white head. Yeast particles inside. Nice coffee aroma. Malty, fruity, citrus, coffee in flavor as well. Beer part could be better, but the coffee component is great, loved it. light bodied.
Weird... Green paprika taste.

Bottle. Very pretty cloudy deep gold with lace. Nose is light coffee, with citrus, especially lemon, and light, crackery malts. Just a touch of honey too. Flavor is also light in coffee. It works well with the hops, citrus, a touch of biscuit and chocolate, nice malt back bone. Bitter finish. Good stuff. Quite like this.

On tap at Bungalow. It pours a clear brassy gold with a fruity citrus hop & mild coffee grounds aroma. The flavor of this coffee ale is much more balanced than their last try: milk coffee then pine & citrus hop notes.you get some acrid coffee grind flavor in the finish/aftertaste. It’s bit weird but interesting and as mentioned progress over their previous attempt in my book.

Bottle shared. Thanks Biirusaikou! Light coffee notes with lemon and white grapefruit along with some mild tropical fruit notes on the nose. Roasted coffee on the front of the palate with more bitter hop and pithy grapefruit flavor on the finish. Some green pepper flavor comes out as it warms. Finish has green pepper and coffee. The hop bitterness is a nice twist and the nose is like a baby version of Sono Ju, but still not that great. Meh. --- Beer merged from original tick of Drunk Coffee / Kibiru on 26 Mar 2016 at 12:13 - Score: 6. Original review text: Pithy nose with some sono Ju light moves. Coffee on the palate with good hop flavor. Green pepper again. Not bad.
