It all started with an epic video game marathon back in 2004.
Rocking blaze-orange homebrew, we saw the foam rings down the glass like tiger stripes. Thousands of batches and tweaks later, the BENGALI still slashes. Tip it back and let gravity do the work. Game on!
Bengali is that go-to IPA you want by the pint. Big tropical hop character up front, super clean, with a dryness on the back end that leaves you wanting more.
Key Ingredients Flaked oats provide a silky texture, while Mandarina Bavaria and Amarillo hops give the beer a huge slash of citrus aroma, without lingering bitterness.
Admin Note: Formerly known as Bengali Tiger

On draft at Tap 25. It pours a clear orange color with an off white head. The aroma is flowery with light citrus and hints of peach. The flavor is pleasant enough with white peach and flowers. There’s some substantial bready malts in here too. Full bodied with strong floral bitterness. Ok.

Can at a tasting. Solid sweetish malty base, burnt sugar, very light alcohol. Moderate to high bitterness and hops aromatics, fruity, orange, slightly earthy and flowery. Overall hops centered but with big initial sweetness which eventually steps back. Very good.

Pours a very slightly hazy golden-yellow, with a good-sized, lasting head. Aroma is fairly dank, with lots of tropical fruit, some citrus, some sprucy hops. Flavor is nicely balanced, with loads of citrus and tropical fruit, as well as a goodly amount of pine/spruce hop bite. Very good IPA.

12 oz can from De Bierkoning at home, as Bengali (6.5%), bbe Nov. 2017. Deep golden to orange color, slightly hazy. Big, rocky off-white head, with some retention and some lacing. Aroma’s of resin and some citrus. Citrus is more prominent retronasal. Flavor is moderate bitter, with some citrussy sourness. Medium bodied. Long finish, slighty dry and rather bitter. Not as impressive as The Puff & Resin, but a nice IPA anyway.
