AN ULTRA-MEGA-MONDO RED ALE
From the first day of the first mash of the first recipe in the first brewhouse in the first space to these coordinates on the cone of space-time; We have worked hard to walk in the footsteps of our hero brewers. Now we have found our own voice as brewers but our admiration for the Great Ones has not dimmed one bit. If we walked well down the hero’s path, perhaps we too have been an inspiration for others. Beer is a Bronze Age business and we feel honored to leave our footprints on it’s path into history- at the same time leaving our flavors on your buds. Obey those Buds! Thanks for your trust over the years and we hope you enjoy this specially brewed Hi-Gravity Auburn offering. Beer Speaks, People Mumble!

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 5/4/2013. Pours lightly cloudy deep orange copper color with a 2 finger dense cream colored head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of big orange zest, tangerine, grapefruit, orange rind, floral, pine, grass, caramel, toast, bread, and floral earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hop notes with a moderate malt balance; and good strength. Taste of grapefruit, orange zest, tangerine, floral, orange rind, caramel, toast, pine, grass, bread, and floral earthiness. Fair amount of floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, citrus rind, floral, pine, caramel, bread, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice balance and complexity of hop flavors; with a moderate malt balance that doesn’t overpower the hoppiness; and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a creamy, sticky, and slightly crisp mouthfeel that is very nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a small warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an excellent hoppy imperial red ale. All around great balance and complexity of hop flavors with moderate malt balance; and very smooth to sip on. A very enjoyable offering as expected from this brewery.

22 oz bottle. Pours an orange amber with some fine particles and an off-white head. Hoppy citrus and pine aroma with some ripe fruit notes. Flavor is a pretty nice match of pine and grapefruit hops with toasty malts and darker fruit flavors. Some sweetness is balanced by a very definite bitterness. Quite enjoyable, though a bit hard to describe.

Pours golden with a suddy head - looks a lot like a lager in the beginning. Luckily it gets a lot better from here. Has a lot of caramel flavor and alcohol. Taste has some boozy bitterness and quite a lot of sweetness. Pretty high carbonation. Bottle.

22 ounce bottle. bright yellow gold color. Large bubbly beige head. Fresh earthy, citrus hop aroma mixes with a caramel malt nose. Sweet toasted malt flavor. Grapefruit hops and vanilla come forward, as well. A smooth medium bodied ale with complex malt and hops that balance nicely.
