Bottle from Discount Downtown Beverage, Dover NH. Aroma is Belgian yeast and fruity esters, mild banana. Appearance is beautiful, clear, golden yellow with good sparkle and finger-width fizzy white head and mild lacing. Taste is sweet with almost a minty refreshment (like a mouthwash or strong toothpaste, but in a good way, not a nasty way). Palate is light bodied with oily texture, average carbonation and long mildly sweet finish. Overall, high marks all around and the minty aspect is a bit different.

Pours gold with a large head.Nose shows sweet banana notes, spicy phenols, doughy wheat and confectionery notes.Flavours likewise seem to be a cross between a hefe and a tripel. Banana, wheat, booze. Carbonation seems a bit excessive.

355ml bottle. Clear yellow golden color with off white head. Aroma is fruity, yeasty, light spicy, light malty grainy. Sweet and light bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Hier versucht man ein hopfenbitteres IPA etwas aufzupeppen. Das geschieht mit Zuckerzugabe (was auch den hohen Alkoholgehalt etwas dämpft) und einigen Tripel-artigen Gewürzen wie Koriander. Dadurch wirkt es wie einFabelwesen, dass weder IPA noch belgisches Bier ist. Der Vorteil ist, dass die Hopfenbittere ein gut trinkbares Maß erreicht und der Alkohol nicht zu brutal rüberkommt. Aber dieser kastriert wirkende Hopfenwolf macht sich zu sehr zum verwirrten Affen, um wirklich zum Top-Bier zu werden.

Hazy golden color with a fine white head. Nice lacing. Heral, citric, some spices and fruity aroma. Lovely and inviting stuff. Medium + body and an average carbonation. Fine balance between sweetness and bitterness. Citric, herbal, some spices, mild yeast, fruity and some banana in the flavor. Complex and balanced stuff. Nice!

Bottle at BrewDog, Birmingham, UK. Pours a golden orange colour with a good sized white head. Aroma of malt, lemon, citrus hops, spice and yeast. Medium sweetness, light bitterness, soft carbonation. Texture a little slick.

Pours an amber from a bottle. Nose is a nice banana-y yeastiness, some bread, some spice. Flavor is all of those with a good floral hop to it. A warm alcohol finish is nicely balanced. Very good beer.

16 oz pour on draft at National Pastime in National Harbor. Clear straw yellow with off-white head. Aromas of banana, yeast, herbs, lemon citrus. Tastes of banana, yeast, herbs, spice, wheat, lemon citrus. Medium-light body with a dry finish. ABV is superbly hidden and doesn’t drink like a 9.5% beer.
