Bottle split at RBWG ’15 hotel lobby share on the final night, thanks to whomever shared this one, 21/02/15. Rich amber with a moderate beige covering. Nose is rich fruit rinds, spice, dates, light wood, caramel. Taste comprises fruit cake, caramel, dates, light spice, biscuit, earthy. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, subtle barreled close with light warming alcohol. Solid enough BA BW.

Bottle shared late night in the hotel lobby during RBWG 2015. Pours Clear amber with a bubbly tan head. Pungent caramel and vanilla on the nose. Big sweet flavor with more caramel, tannic dryness, brown sugar. Full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Warm and sticky on the finish, caramel, toasted grains. Not bad.

Bottle - Sweet caramel an bourbon notes. Cloudy copper with a small beige head. Caramel, bourbon, cherry and Woody booze. I think a bit more age would be better.

Colour as old Armagnac, and not more head. Rosewater and booze exploding on opening. Not very refined aromas, really - cognac, indeed. Sweet, but not cloying; but again very much rosewater-like, on bitter wood, bitter herbs and tons of sugars. Nutty (but I couldn’t tell pecan). Warming up, it acquires more balance. Lots of alcoholheat, well-bodied, and alcoholic-slick rather than viscous. Good, if not refined Barley wine. Heated!

RBSG 2013. I assume this is named for America’s worst President. Red (like Roosevelt’s economic policies) color. Sweet with hops and lots of alcohol.

Bottle at RBSG. From notes. Caramel and toffee with a huge bourbon kick. Awesome. I wish I could drink this everyday.
