Belgian-style farmhouse saison
Inspired by the traditional rustic brews of Belgium, our iconic American farmhouse saison is charmingly complex but eminently drinkable.
Artfully spiced with coriander, ginger, orange peel and grains of paradise, its champagne-like effervescence leads to a crisp, dry finish, delighting discerning drinkers everywhere.
While delicious on its own, Hennepin pairs remarkably well with a variety of foods, complementing shellfish, barbecue, cheeses, charcuterie, and a wide range of spicy fare.

Tap. Pits cc clear golden with a small white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is herbal, sage, pepper, honey. Flavor is the same, peppery and spicy, light sweet, minor zesty bitterness. Light body.

Bottle. Vibrant cloudy and golden beer with a very strong white head. The aroma is yeasty and spiced, and the flavour is lemony and fruity with a refreshing sweet, vinous, dry and spiced body. Overall a really nice fruity, sweet, spiced and dry beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

35,5 cl bottle @ home. Bottled 31.10.2012, BBE 10/2014
Aroma has yeasty notes, some citron, orange and hints of hay. Flavour is quite rich with funky aromas, yeasty notes, some citron and urinal cake. Finishes with grassy tones. Palate is too high on CO2 at first. Alcohol is clearly present, but it does not disturb. World class saison, challenges even the best Belgian ones.

Pours pale yellow with a lively, large white head, which quickly reduces to a thin, lasting head. Spice aromas and lemon. Same on the taste, good finish, but slightly sweet for my taste. Nice beer, but would have been better a little drier.

355ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours a clear golden with steady but slow bubbles and a huge head. The nose has citrus, yeasty-malt and a hint of spice - typical saison. The taste is fresh and grassy with citrus and a more obvious spice thing going on. The palate is medium bodied with a big tangy texture and a long enduring finish. Overall, a good example of what a saison should do.

Bottle - Sweet yeast, a little boozy and banana. Clear gold with a frothy white head. Primarily booze and yeast with some slight sour notes. Aftertaste is a slight burn from the alcohol and bananas. The alcohol I taste throughout is just not my cup of tea, or beer.

355ml bottle from Bitter Virtue, Southampton. Amber with a sudsy looking white head; the aroma has citrus, Belgian yeast and a hint of spice; light and freshing with a tart fruitiness and some butterscotch over a grainy body; and some coriander to finish. Rather good.
