Dark Skull is a heavy collaboration between our metal-loving brewer Peter and musician and craft beer-fan Victor Brandt (Entombed AD, Firespawn, Totalt Jävla Mörker). They headbanged their heads together to create a stout in a true Entombed AD spirit. Brewed with roasted barley, chocolate and oat malts, roasted coconut and coconut sugar.

Bottle - Coconut, some herbal notes and dark sweet malts, deep jet brown with a small beige head. Dark sweet molasses and roast.

Medium brown. No head. Fudgey aroma, with some chocolate. On the palate, a rich chocolate cake, with again that same sort of fudgey note. Full body.

330ml bottle shared at Brian’s office. Pours a very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, grainy, some chocolate notes. Taste is similar. Not very pleasant.

Many thanks to Nisse666 for this bottle. Great intense heavy beginning. Grain, sticky sweetish bitterness. Roast, coffee, sweetish espresso. Very thick but more on the sweetish side. The aftertaste is bitter-sweet, roasted grainy but too sweet for more complexity. Nice though.

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is meaty, chocolate, liquorice, hint of coconut, taste is chewy, liquorice, caramel, chocolate, roasty, not getting the coconut here.

Bottle at Tim’s. Pours a pitch black hue with a medium tan head. A big chocolate and licorice nose. Roasty, dark fruit, licorice, very boozy, sweet. Solid.

0,33l from bottle bought from Biercab Shop, Barcelona. BB 27.10.2018. black color, almost no head. smells earthy, olives, marzipan, nutty, bit oxidized, bit sweet. nice smell. Full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of caramel, earthy, raisins, nutty, marzipan, brown sugar, ripe fruits. finishes lightly sweet with notes of brown sugar, earthy notes and raisins. not bad, but rather on the sweet side, could use a bit more complexity.

Dark brown color. Molasses, chocolate cake, roasted malt nose. Medium body with lots of chocolate cake and some rum and coconut. Very rounded. Low carbonation. Nice stuff with coconut and dark chocolate finish.
