A crisp yet distinct Pilsner brewed with German hops that bring vivid notes of floral and spice with citrus and lemon. This is truly brilliant, bringing nuanced complexity together with smooth, easy drinking.
“Prima!” it is an exclamation of pure joy heard from brewmasters and beer lovers near and far each time they enjoy one of our most adored beers. It is also how she got her name. Like any proud parent, we have crowned her as one of our favorites. We lavish her with hand-picked hops, only the finest ingredients and painstakingly work to balance her distinct and nuanced complexity with smooth, easy drinking.

[9/11] Bottle. Barely hazy pale gold with a large white head. Aroma has a little bread, plenty of earth, flowers and lemon, some spices. Very slightly sweet with hay and a little bread before firm bitterness. Quite lemony. Finishes dry and bitter with spices. Leans much more towards German than Czech in depth of malt. Very good. [edit] Drinks better at 10C than colder. [3.7] [3/15] Maybe not so dry at the end. Sweet classy but plain malt flavours nicely garnished with floral, spice and lemony notes. [2/17] I suppose the beer’s the same and interestingly I like it about the same, but balance seems less tilted towards bitterness, I’m less keen on the earthy notes and I wish the whole thing a little cleaner. [8/18] And the earthy notes bother me a little more, -0.1

Pours light yellow with a small white head. Quite light aroma has notes of hops, malts and parfume. Taste is slightly malty and bitter with notes of hops and mild fruits. Hoppy and bitter finish. Okay, quite hoppy and bitter pilsner.

Bottled. Big citrus hop aroma, with little to no malt character coming through. Huge hop flavor: lemony, then grassy and peppery, then huge bitterness that lasts forever. It starts off quite sweet as well, though not malty, something like lemonade. An impressive showcase for hops, to be sure, but overall, a bit unpleasantly bitter. Very light, soapy body. Interesting and tasty, but too much.

Golden beer with a medium, long lasting and white hed. Aroma is fresh and pure malty, grass; simple but good. Taste is medium bitter made with grassy hoppyness, also biscuity malts, dry. Taste is also simple just as aroma. The great, strong bitterness made this Pils almost as IPA. Smooth and medium bodied. Lots of hops are used for this beer that surprise me, otherwise simple, but very succesfull and tastefull.

Bottle from Bierzwerg. Poured clear golden with a thin white head. Aroma has some floral and fruity hoppy notes, along with some malt. Flavor is similar, fruity citrus, hops, malt and quite strong bitter finish. Refreshing and crisp brew.

Bottle. Vibrant golden beer with a strong white head. The aroma is very lightly dry, and the flavour is very strongly hopped with heaps of dryness. Overall a very nice refreshingly hopped and deeply dry beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg at Euston Tap, London. A murky golden coloured pour with a medium white head. Malty, musty lemon aroma. Tastes malty, lemon, yeasty, slightly hoppy. I like Victory but this is not one of their best offerings IMO.
