A crisp yet distinct Pilsner brewed with German hops that bring vivid notes of floral and spice with citrus and lemon. This is truly brilliant, bringing nuanced complexity together with smooth, easy drinking.

“Prima!” it is an exclamation of pure joy heard from brewmasters and beer lovers near and far each time they enjoy one of our most adored beers. It is also how she got her name. Like any proud parent, we have crowned her as one of our favorites. We lavish her with hand-picked hops, only the finest ingredients and painstakingly work to balance her distinct and nuanced complexity with smooth, easy drinking.

Sampled @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011: Pours a semi clear pale yellow body with lots of small floaters and a near non existing off-white head. Aroma has a really fresh swing to it with lots of citrus, some raspberries, champagne-yeastiness and some nice malts. Near no carbonation and it has a light and somewhat watery texture. Champagne and peach are the first two flavors that comes to mind. It continues with a light herbal twist and a nice hopy and semi-dry finish. A good pilsner, and I get a feeling this rating could have been much better if I got this served as a pint and not only a sample.

Very nice Pils, grainy and earthy but with a solidly Euro floral finish. Quite an easy drinking Pilsner, for sure, one of the most solid American offerings of the style. The Saaz hops show off their usual herbal, bitter funky finish, yet the lovely pale malts provide a tasty counter to the seriously German fade. Absolutely gorgeous as beers go, with a shining, bright, clear golden color, an unending head, and lacing galore. I still feel I’m not the best judge of Pilsners, since I’m slowly learning the nuances of the style, but this beer is cool, a wonderfully beery-tasting beer.

Mal was Anderes! 7/9/9/8/10/9

12 oz bottle into footed pilsner glass. Thanks Brenn79. Stamped "Enjoy by Mar. 4, 2011." Expired--shit. Pours a hazy yellow (I thought it was filtered?) with a medium white crackling head that falls in a minute, leaving a light blanket. Aroma is grassy and a little lemony. Taste starts out sweet and a bit salty but quickly turns bitter--I like that in a pils. Crisp and refreshing. I wonder if the folks at Miller Lite have ever tasted one of these. They should be ashamed of their slogan "real pilsner taste" or "true American pilsner" or whatever it is. Highly carbonated and medium bodied. A truly great pils, expired or not.

Pours a clear golden/yellow color with a fluffy white head that dissipates quickly. Smells of cooked corn, hops, diacetyl. The corn overpowers the aroma. Taste is malty with a hop bite in the finish. I get some honey and some bready flavors throughout. Medium body, sweet almost sticky mouthfeel, crisp carbonation. Great pilsner I could see a few of these in my future.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear gold color with a small foamy white head and nice lacing. The aroma is apples, citrus hops and light wheat. The flavor is very bitter, but backed with a nice malt sweetness. The palate is light to medium with light carbonation. It is crisp and refreshing. Overall, a simple and excellent beer.

cant believe i havent rated this yet, grabbed a single from valley wines and spirits cause i havent had this in awhile. as michael jackson said in 500 classic brews, there is a reason that this has a hop cone on the label, this has to be one of the hoppiest pilsners ive had and it really works for this beer, golden color, pilsner aroma, and good malt/hop balance but way more hops than usual. would love to give this to every miller fan out there and say, "this is what a pilsner should taste like".
