Surprise rate at company christmas party. Pours light yellow with white head. Tastes of grains, banana, vanilla, citrus, and bread. Clean and crisp but boring for me

Finally, a chance to taste the notorious lag pilz. Tasted this yesterday from a bottle. Clean fresh bread smell. First taste impression is expected to be big taste personality considering the other lag beers I’ve had. Looks rather clear and yellow. Thin white head. Yes, it is a little over the top in initial impressiosn. Alky bitter bite evolves. Seems more than 5%. Evolves into a beefy pilsner, with the annoying bite so common with ruder pilsners. Sizzly hagh gravity thing happening here. Overall a little over the top for a mild friendly pils, has some of that dull ipa thing going on, but just a little.

Draught at Lagunitas Brewery, where it was claimed to be 6.2% alcohol. It felt like it. Deep gold with lace. Biscuity malt aroma with some grass. Sweet and biscuity, with nice malt flavors. Very rich, almost like a maibock, with grassy hop and mild peppery bitter finish. Nice thick body. A nice beer. Too big, sweet, and thick for the style, but very tasty.

12 oz bottle purchased at Antlers in Frisco, Colorado. Pour is a clear golden with a frothy 4 inch white head. Head eventually settles with nice lacing. Aroma is cracker malt along with a bright herbal floral hop, with a nice mineral element in the back. Taste is the herbal hops up front, followed and blended with the cracker toasted malt. The finish is a gentle earthy mineral. Palate is thin to medium bodied, nice active carbonation and the dry mineral finish. Nice Pils, really super drinkable - bring this one to Missouri, Lagunitas!

12 oz. bottle, pours almost clear golden with medium-sized white head. Very mild aroma of pilsner hops, biscuit and bread. Nice refreshing pilsner hop bite flavour with bready / cereal notes, and a slightly bitter finish. Decent.

Bottle. A small, off-white head sits on top of a clear, golden body. The aroma has a shotload of cooked vegetables. Sugary malts and canned tropical fruits as well. Sourish, peachy flavor with lots of white sugar, a good dash of dms and a pleasant bitterness. Medium body, dry, yet sweet. The carbonation level is nice. Good bitterness in the end. Overall, far, far from impressing, but I like the bitterness. Actually, rather disappointing. 101112
