"Clean this mess up or else we'll all end up in jail...those test tubes and the scale...just get 'em all outta here..." He was referring to the complex super-critical-CO2 hop extraction equipment set up on the table in the lab across from the brewhouse. Hop extracts are for the BIG brewers, he thought - suitable only for crummy sub-standard and barely-passable industrial lagers, not the subtle and elegant craft beer made here. But wrong he was. The New Brewer does not eschew any possible inputs. In this case the mountain of extracts will replace the mountain of hop vegetative material in the kettle thus creating cleaner hop flavors and preventing the otherwise spinach-like mess of a kettle full of super-hopped wort from clogging up a pump or worse. The sensuous honey-like amber ooze was administered intravenously to the wort kettle and the sacrament was complete. Another kettle of Hop Stoopid is once again raised up and fermented on high

Bottle. Pours brownish orange with small head. Hoppy aroma with citrus, grass, orange and tropical fruits. Sweet, fruity and malty. Not as bitter as expected and slightly too sweet, but certainly a decent IIPA.

Enjoyed during a friends going away party for a forthcoming move to Sweden, party in Chicago, IL. I didn’t take tasting notes while consuming this, but I think as the descriptor on the bottle stated, this was stoopidly hopped. Really strong flavor and aroma of hops, but not overtly bitter, gave it a nice flavor that was both citrus and ’naturey’. Really good stuff, will definitely try again and have a better re-rating for!

Bomber. Pours a golden-orange-amber color with a big off-white head that leaves some patchy lacing. Aroma is citrus, and really piney hops. The flavor is an atomic blast of pine resin, caramel malts, and citrus. The alcohol is completely hidden at over 100 IBU. Medium body malty mouthfeel with a nice dry lingering bitter finish. One of my all time favorites!

Pours light orange with a small foamy white head. Aroma has notes of fresh floral hops, fruits, grass, wheat and caramel malts. Taste is very fresh with floral hops, some light sweet malts and hints of grass and pine. Finish is hoppy and bitter with a nice fruity touch. Overall a very well balanced IIPA.

Light orange golden colour, white head. Hoppy aroma, citrus, somewhat sweaty, you can quite notice that hops and marijuana are family. White heady grapes, grapefruit, tropical fruits. Lightly sweet flavour, hops, but relatively light on the bitterness. Quite oily texture, aroma hops in the finish.

65 cl. bottle sampled @ RBWG 2012 – thx to ajax25g– golden orange with a white head, smell is bitter pine resin & sweeter, mellowed tropical fruits, very clean-cut smell, taste is bitter, sharp, very defined taste, pine resin, tropical fruit, sharp bitterness mixed with fruity sweetness, oily, fizzy, made with hop extract according to the text on the bottle, nice

No head left, golden-orange, cognac-coloured beer. Catty hops, exotic fruit and muscat grapes, grapefruit, quite inviting aromas. Slightly sweeter than expected, very fruity, but little real bitterness. Ends again on muscat grapes, but with the kernels pressed in. Fine, slightly burning MF, very oily-slick, medium bodied at least. Good, if not really spectacular. Our bottle claimed 102 IBU

Sweetish aroma has hops with exotic fruits and hints of resin. Flavour is also sweetish and hoppy with resin and exotic fruits. However, the sweetness is not overwhelming like usually in American DIPAs.
