"Clean this mess up or else we'll all end up in jail...those test tubes and the scale...just get 'em all outta here..." He was referring to the complex super-critical-CO2 hop extraction equipment set up on the table in the lab across from the brewhouse. Hop extracts are for the BIG brewers, he thought - suitable only for crummy sub-standard and barely-passable industrial lagers, not the subtle and elegant craft beer made here. But wrong he was. The New Brewer does not eschew any possible inputs. In this case the mountain of extracts will replace the mountain of hop vegetative material in the kettle thus creating cleaner hop flavors and preventing the otherwise spinach-like mess of a kettle full of super-hopped wort from clogging up a pump or worse. The sensuous honey-like amber ooze was administered intravenously to the wort kettle and the sacrament was complete. Another kettle of Hop Stoopid is once again raised up and fermented on high

Good double IPA, but sampled after Stone’s RuinTen, and it comes in second by far. Dark golden ion color, thin foamy head, light lacing. Aroma is sweet, citrusy hops. Taste is bitter with a metallic tang. Finish is short, but lingers on the palate. Very good, but there are better out there.

Refrigerated brown bomber poured into a tulip. Pours clear light orange with big white head. Aroma is grapefruit hops, light/medium body, medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is grapefruit, some pine, and a little herbal hops. The 8% is well covered, pretty good.

650 ml bottle, as Lagunitas Hop Stoopid Ale, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8%, OG 1085, IBU 102. Golden colour, large white head. Intense and sweetish aroma of fruity and piney American hops and crystal malts, notes of orange marmalade, pine needles, tropical fruits and grapefruit. The flavour is quite sweet and intensely hoppy, with the same elements as in the aroma. Nearly too much of it all.

Golden i colour. Aroma of orange marmelade and grape fruit. Huge taste that keeps growing, of grapefruit and American hops. Well balanced with malt sweetness. Softly carbonated. Long aftertaste. A superb American IPA. Very drinkable

Served from bomber.

Pours a clear gold with a finger of long lasting foam, good lacing.

Smells of grapefruit, caramel malt, hey there's a strong sweetness going on here. Like in old stuff. Can't make heads or tails out of the BB date on the bottle...
