We get some help from our friends/neighbors at Sebastopol’s Hardcore Coffee just up the road. The coffee beans are freshly ground when we drop them into the brew kettle and whirlpool, giving that deep coffee flavor without taking away from that even deeper beer flavor.

Bottle picked up from the brewery and split with Sarah in the hotel. Dark brown / black coloured pour with a creamy dark tan head. Aroma is earthy roast coffee, slightly ashy bitter roast, some hot alcohol. Flavour is semi sweet, earthy roast, ashy, bitter roasted barley, harsh bitter coffee. Warming alcohol. Palate is full, slightly creamy, moderate carbonation. Little boozy in the finish.

On tap at P&P Charleston. Translucent dark brown with medium/big light brown head. Fruity dark malt, medium body, lower carbonation, and little lacing. Taste roast, fruit, some alcohol, and slightly bitter finish. Is this a quad or imperial stout, not that good for the style.

Bottle 650ml. Dark ruby, medium-sized beige head. Aroma has coffee, caramel, brandy and raisins. Medium-bodied. Raisins, lots of coffee. Roasted, hoppy aftertaste. Warming alcohol. Ok coffee imperial stout.

Poured into a teku showing light black with coffee brown rims and latte colored. The nose is sweet with hints of soy sauce The palate is light bodied and well carbonated. Showing a very strong back ground of roasted malt and a strong cappuccino bitterness. Guess it sets out to accomplish what it says. Will also say this is probably a lot closer to a porter given how light it drinks.

Bomber from Cornelius, shared with jeevan and Stuu666. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of strong coffee, malt, toffee. Taste is more coffee, light sweet milky notes maybe. Texture is creamy, but thin on the finish, maybe, Mary?
