A perfect blend of vanilla and bourbon notes make this cream ale irresistible. Kentucky Vanilla Barrel Cream Ale is our take on a classic American style of beer.
We took a cold-conditioned cream ale, brewed with a hint of flaked corn and bourbon vanilla beans, and aged it in freshly decanted bourbon barrels for at least six weeks. Kentucky Vanilla Barrel Cream Ale's medium body and 5.5 percent alcohol by volume (ABV) make it the perfect barrel-aged beer for an all-day event.

Bottle. Lightly hazy, light amber body. Frothy white head. String aroma of artificial vanilla, cotton candy, light wood, toasted grain, cheap scented candle. Sweet from start to finish. Medium body, syrupy texture, lively carbonation. Can’t see drinking more than 6 ounces of this overly sweet, artificial tasting beer. Drain pour.

Bottle. A- Fake vanilla, creamy, corn. A- Golden orange color, clear liquid, white head. T- Vanilla extract, creamed corn, mild oak, slightly sweet. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Definitely vanilla and even a bit of barrel but really not that impressive. Vanilla and cream ale go together and hell, even a bit of barrel might work, but this didn't really. Okay at best.

Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a caramel color with a large foamy white head that left excellent lacing. The aroma was exceptionally strong vanilla cream, rather sweet with a perfume note. The flavor was sweet vanilla cream, a bit of bread dough, sugar cookies and perfume. Medium length finish. Moderately full bodied

Whole Foods Gowanus: pours golden with a white head. Aroma is a lot of vanilla... oh man... a lot of it. Did not really get a lot of bourbon strangely enough. Taste is way too sweet for my liking. Easy enough to drink, but would be hard to get through more than one.

bottle, rated in May 2017 - Pale gold pour. It smells mainly of vanilla with some light, bready malt underlying it. Flavor is sweet with obvious vanilla, bready malt, maybe a little bourbon but it's subtle. It's really not bad, but to me not good enough for the premium price these barrel aged brews fetch.
