Draft. Poured a golden lager color, medium sized white head. Aroma was yeasty, bready, sweet malts. Flavor was a grainy, notes of yeast. Meh, it was good, but something lacking overall.

(bottle) clear deep golden colour with small white head; aroma of noble hops, balanced flavour with long medium bitter finish; I am not a big fan of the style but it is the best dortmunder I have had so far

Enjoyed on tap at the Bad Apple in Chicago, IL while signing the papers for my life insurance contract. Fantastic brew, one that should be enjoyed after a long days work. Aroma faint, light malt and hops. Appearance is crystal clear amber with thin head. Taste very crisp, slightly sweet for a lager but the malt/hop balance is fantastic. The hops actually shine through in the mixture. Great lager, Iβve gotta get a six pack ASAP!

Whole Foods, DC ($9.99): Pours a copper-gold color (definitely darker than I thought it would be) that leaves a good amount of lacing. Malty aroma, with hop notes on the side. Almost a creamy texture to it. Bitter hops (very much unlike German pilsener hops it seemed). Some grass and straw thrown in for good measure. Tiny bit of sugar. Quite well-balanced. More companies need to make more proper lagers and devote more time to their perfection.

This is a great lager. Copper color. Very little hop presence. Tons of dry malt. There is a minor toasted character. Very drinkable.

courtesy of tpd975. pours amber-orange, white head. Aroma is grainy, wheat, malty with a light roast and hops. Flavors, similar to aroma, light fizzy/bittering palate, some pale malts and light roasted finish. This bottle was beyond its bb date and the hops were more attenuated.

Bottle from a trade with phaleslu. Pours clear light amber color with white head. Aroma of biscuit malts and some floral hops. Flavor is bread and caramel with mild hops. Light to medium body with mild carbonation. Very nice. Thanks Peter.

Dark amber color with a medium white head that settles quickly and leaves moderate lacing. Aroma of licorice and black pepper. Flavor has licorice, lots of hops and lots of malts. Could be better balanced.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a deep golden/light copper color with one and a half inch off-white head. Taste is mostly bready malt with hops in the finish. Best dortmunder I have had.

Location: 12 oz bottle from jcos, 11/9/09
Aroma: It has lots of grains, biscuits, lemon, with some floral and earth
Appearance: Pours a clear golden-orange with a thin white head
Flavor: The taste is malty nd sweet (honey) with some nice hops for balance
Palate: This beer is very crisp, refreshing, smooth, and highly drinkable
Overall Impression: I have to say this beer really hits on the idea of being crisp and refreshing. I love the way this one drinks, it's got the typical flavors of the style, only stronger then your avvvvvvveraagge beer (I know, I know - bad Yogi Bear joke). It really is quite a wonderfully made example of a Dortmunder. I'm not even a huge fan of this style, but this one really shows how good a well-made lager can be. Now lets just hope Hanna-Barbera doesn't sue me...
