Can 35,5 cl. Pours a cloudy, pale yellow with a dense, white head. Tart, lactic aroma with a spicy input from the passionfruit. Light body, has a slight sweetness lurking under the tartness and really nice imprints from the passionfruit. A nice and somehow richer and different passionfruit Berliner. 301117

From the can. Bright white micro head. Passion fruit aromas. Effervescent and tart with passion fruit and lactic acid front to back turning to mild marshmallow in the medium length finish.

12 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours hazy pale straw/yellow color with a 2 finger foamy and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big sour/tart/tangy passion fruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, melon, green apple, white wine, wheat, cracker, salt, hay, straw, grass, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, passion fruit, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big sour/tart/tangy passion fruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, melon, green apple, white wine, wheat, cracker, salt, hay, straw, grass, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang, and light yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of sour passion fruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, melon, green apple, white wine, wheat, cracker, salt, hay, straw, grass, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, passion fruit, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/sourness balance. Slightly increasing pucker, but not astringent. Moderate increasing dryness from tart/sourness and carbonation. High carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, moderately grainy/acidic/tangy, and lightly saline balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is an awesome fruited Berliner weisse! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, passion fruit, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the modestly lactic/tangy/drying finish. Perfectly balanced Berliner and fruit character; with plenty of flavor for the low ABV. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

12 oz. can, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out fresh passionfruit, light lacto and citrus. Flavour is loaded with lacto, followed by fresh passionfruit and citric notes. Pleasantly tart and very refreshing. Nicely juicy, with a tart finish. Excellent.

Can from Half Time. Clear golden color with a fizzy white head. Tropical fruit, sour fruit, wheat, and tartness. A rather tart / sour example of the style with good amount of salinity as well. Lively carbonation, somewhat puckering on the close. Nothing subtle here. Tasty stuff, but I can’t imagine having more than one in a session without a tum chaser.
