Dry-hopped Sour with Italian plum. The beer-drinkers’ rosé. We worked backwards with this one - first came the design, then we reverse-engineered a beer to match.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a hazy orange-bronze color with a medium sized foamy orange-white head that left good lacing. The aroma was tart and sour with a lemon candy note. The flavor was tart and sour with a lemon candy presence. Long finish. Medium body. Decent.

Hazy golden beer with a thick white head. Tart and bitter fruity aroma.VERY tart flavour as well, but the sourness doesn’t linger that long which suits me because I’m only slowly getting a taste for this sort of thing. There is a tang to it that hangs about but at it’s core it’s a crisp, fruity pale with a big sour hit up front and then a mellow one after that. Nice.

12 oz. can, pours a hazy pinkish amber with a small pink head. Aroma is dominated by lacto, followed by plenty of tart plums and some floral dry hopping. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of lacto, tart plum and subtle floral dry hopping. Finishes very tart and lightly hoppy. Not the lost refined and elegant, but it's decent.

Can - Orange with a light pink tint - dry hopping most evident in the nose, adding perfumy floral notes to the mild plum and moderate acidity - moderate acid in the flavor, with slight funk and savoriness - a mild plum sweetness finishes to cut the acidity - some touches of white grape and mild buggy yeast throughout - a decent, low-cost, quenching sour.

$2.90 can from Wine Warehouse. Pours a little cloudy slightly pinkish gold with a white head. Aroma is quite floral with the addition of bitter plum. Flavor is tart dried flower buds, plum, light crust. Interesting.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, best before 4/2018. Pours lightly hazy pinkish orange/amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tart plum, peach, apricot, lemon, lime, green apple, grapefruit, orange peel, pineapple, mango, melon, red grape, hay, straw, wheat, cracker, light pepper/musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, plums, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart plum, peach, apricot, lemon, lime, green apple, grapefruit, orange peel, pineapple, mango, melon, red grape, hay, straw, wheat, cracker, light pepper/musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Moderate fruity/lactic tartness; light yeast spice and hop bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart plum, peach, apricot, lemon, lime, green apple, grapefruit, orange peel, pineapple, mango, melon, red grape, hay, straw, wheat, cracker, light pepper/musty funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, plums, and moderate pale malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness balance, and zero puckering sourness after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from acidity/tartness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, creamy/grainy/acidic, and slightly sticky/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is an awesome fruited sour/wild ale! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, plums, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink; with the modestly tart/acidic/drying finish. Really great balanced complexity from hops, plums, and Brett/Lacto; with great malt presence for the low ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

12oz can. Unfiltered orange-amber-purple hued body. Not much of a head, thin oily residue. Pleasant modern flavors, but sort of a bland, neutered, thin body that seems to plague most of the beers coming out of Stratford. The sour tones, dry hopping and plum tastes are on point, really complementing each other well. Tasty and unique.
