Okay, so I guess I’ll be fair in assessing this saffron-cardamom IPA certainly tastes like saffron and cardamom. Mission accomplished. As to my enjoyment of this fact...IPA notes are mainly hop bitterness, a piney finish offsetting the massive adjunct presence. But the spicing is so freaking prevalent, overshadowing any other aspect of the beer. Looks great, smells like a spice rack, and the texture’s good, but this ain’t my bag, man.

Bottle. Poured clear dark orange, dark sludge at the bottom. White head. Soft, pleasant spicy floral aroma. The flavor is juicy fruit and bitter citrus hops. I don’t taste any saffron, but this is a decent IPA in any case.

Draft at the source. Clear golden color, see pic please. Delicate floral aroma. Taste is very herbal and perfumy, slightly earthy. Delicious and unique.

Draft at the source. Pours dark golden with a slight haze. White head. Aroma of saffron, cardamom, citrus, and pine with floral notes. Taste follows nose and is nicely balanced with a caramel malt flavor. The spices are a nice touch and blend in rather well. Excellent.
