Dark & Mischievous
Imperial Pumpkin Stout
Welcome to the Dark Side. Warlock is brewed to enchant your palate and perfectly complements his royal highness, Pumking Imperial Ale. Craft your own black magic by pouring this Imperial Stout into a goblet. Awaken your dark and mystical side with Warlock’s roasted malt character, moderate carbonation and spiced pumpkin pie aroma.

Dark brown pour. Molasses nose. Sweet taste of pumpkin, brown sugar, spice. Palate is sweet with a hops finish.

Taster pour on draft at The Grill Next Door. Appearance is very dark chestnut brown with no discernible sparkle, thin ring of beige head. Aroma is cinnamon and nutmeg, moderate roasted malt. Taste is cinnamon, rum, nutmeg, raisin. Palate is medium bodied with thick, frothy, smooth texture with pleasant alcohol warmth, and dry, crisp finish as taste. Overall, a tasty brew dabbling with pumpkin pie but delicious even without the pumpkin nod.

Pours dark, almost black with some light foam skirmish. Sweet pumpkin pie nose, vanilla and coconut, lots of gingerbread spices. Taste is smooth and creamy, heavy and creamy pumpkin pie, sweet and full of caramel. Ashy bitterness lingering in the back. Pumkin sweetness lingering in the finish. Alcohol warmth is there but really well balanced. Perfect pumpkin stout.

Looks pitch black but smells like pumpkin pie with tons of cloves and cinnamon. Super smooth, tons of spice, modest roasted character, slightly seeet. A tad on the boozy side, but super fun. Honestly the roasted malt and stout character is not big. Very surprising. I love it

Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy beige head. Clear aroma of malt, chocolate and yeast, with roasty hints. Sweetish flavour of chocolate and yeast and malt, with notes of hops and roast and mild touches of fruit. Estery and pumpkinlike aftertaste. Decent.

Bottle from Craft Brewed. Pours a pitch, motor-oil black with a small head that dissipates almost instantly. Big pumpkin pie crust nose with a touch of dark chocolate. Some vanilla, allspice, clove and nutmeg as well. Sweet pumpkin puree on the palate with some hot booze. Could probably stand some aging I suppose. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Blackwater Series: Warlock on 21 Sep 2017 at 23:28 - Score: 7. Original review text: Big pumpkin pie crust nose, with pumpkin bread, clove, allspice and nutmeg coming on strong. Chocolate and nutmeg on the palate. Spice bomb.

Great googily moogily at the indulgence...Pumpkin pie slathered in Hershey syrup with a huge dollop of Cool Whip on top. BIg, sweet, boozy and unapologetic. Good if you like nutmeg. Luckily I do. Slight bitterness on the fade, but holy hell is this brew a dessert in a bottle.
