Bottle shared in London - cheers to Kenny. Pours deep brown with a frothy, beige head. Strong roast in the nose, good toast, hints of old berries. Medium sweet flavour with more ash, some alcohol, roast, baking cocoa, faint bitter coffee. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with more ash, bitter dark chocolate. Not bad overall.

Bottle at Matteo abode, thanks to Kenny, 31/10/16. Black topped with a decent tan swirl. Nose is toffee, spice, charr, dark fruit rinds, spice, cocoa. Taste comprises sweet malts, light spice, cocoa, faint coffee nibs, toffee, molasses. Medium + body, fine carbonation, light warming alcohol in the close. Middle of the road kind of impy ... lacks wow!
