Inspired by the Brussels tradition, this beer is wood-fired in copper kettles and matured in oak barrels. The result is a unique, refreshing, slightly sour and complex beer with tastes of apple, citrus, oak, cellar, soil and …

Bottle @Luppolo Station (Rome). Gialla acida carica/ambrata scarica, torbida, schiuma bianca media. Al naso splendido bouquet di agrumi, limone, stalla, pollaio, leggero formaggio. In bocca è acida media, di carattere, vinosa, lunga e intensa. Gueuze quasi perfetta, complimenti!

375ml bottle. Slightly milky, orangey golden colou rwith average, frothy, half-way lasting, white head. Sour-ish, herbal-spicy, funky and fruity aroma, notes of (partly overripe and rotting) peach and nectarine, a touch of dill. Taste is dry, sour, acidic, slightly tangy and fruity, chalky, medicamentous overtones, hints of peach, nectarine, white pepper, green apple parings. Slightly oily texture, lively carbonation. Rather mild overall.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Lior D's place. Thanks David K. for this bottle! Cloudy golden. Great barnyard, oak, cobwebs, fruitiness, sour, juicy, somewhat lemony, bitterish note in the finish, medium-bodied. Great stuff.

Refrigerated 37.5 L green bottle, bottled November 2017 poured into a glass. Deep golden with small white head. Aroma is tart, medium light body, light/medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is tart and some earth.

Golden colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have the right amount of sharpness. Dry. Slightly chalky

Little off-white rim over hazy, if bright orange beer. Bretts, Pedio, horseblanket, saddlesoap - very convincing. Sourish, lemony, green apples, but slightly less complex than the Pajottenland lambics. Acidburn and -thinning; long lasting flavours. Excellent nose, the rest is just not quite the real thing (but close enough!).

Bottle. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is metallic, funk, earthy, apples. Taste is apples, funky, bretty, wood, a touch vinegar already. Silky mouthfeel with fizzy carbonation. A good Geuze, but the aroma is a bit of a letdown.

Bottle. Pours unclear amber. Aroma is funk, citric fruit and peel, grapefruit. Body is medium, funky, sour and fizzy. Iron and rust. Still lots of citric fruit. Rather sweet, yet not boozy. Quite good, yet not the most complex gueuze.
