With Aloha Sculpin, we used Brux Trois yeast to turn our award-winning IPA into a tropical oasis, with bright and refreshing notes of mango, pineapple and guava, along with a slight haze and smooth mouthfeel.

Bottle 355ml (Alko web). Clear amber colour, small white head. Juicy pineapple, pine, citrus, mango nose. Medium-bodied. Piney, juicy, citrusy, fruity sweet flavour. Suprisingly this is neipa-inspired IPA. Another good and very good Sculpin.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a murky orange-peach color with a large foamy orange-white head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was sweetish with grapefruit and pine. The flavor was bitter with cactus, earthiness, grapefruit and cat pee. Long earthy cactus and grapefruit finish. Moderately full bodied.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Pours a clear golden with a lacing, white head. Intense and very clean tropical aroma of hops. Medium body, dry, clean fruitiness, extremely soft on the palate, dry and hoppy finish. Super well made - and interesting with the Brux Trois yeast. 270618

Draft - the yeast strain used here does not shine in the way I want it to, though it adds some pepper and light tropical notes - I've had some IPAs that have shined with this yeast, but this does not - the hop vibrancy is swallowed up a bit, and it seems slightly unclean - some good stuff happening, but kind of muddled.

Bouteille 355ml, de Drink Store, Dublin. BB 03/2019.
