Saison Station 55 is a red beer with a veiled appearance, with a pronounced taste of malt, spices and hops reminiscent of citrus fruits, coupled with a bitterness on the finish. The 55 is intended to be a hybrid between a local Belgian beer and an American-style IPA.

Pours deep cloudy gold into a tulip. White head with medium retention recedes to mottle surface. Fruity caramel aromas. Medium bodied with sweet fruity yeast and caramel upfront turning to mild bitter fruit skin in the lasting finish.

Capped 750 from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours dishwater gold with very little head. Aroma is rather citrus sour. Earthy hint. Med + body. Flavor is earthy, lightly sour and citrus. Then it suddenly goes sweat sox. Sucks the moisture from the mouth. Barnyard finish. Marvelous.

Golden color, low carbonation, no head. Aroma of rubber and light spicy yeast. Good body strength; a bit fruity flavor, above the average bitterness.

On tap at Vice et Versa, pours a fairly clear yellow with a small white head. Aroma is some what rustic, with subtle white wine notes, some apple zest and mild yeast. Flavour is very unusual for a saison, with a mix of green apples and white wine notes, very low yeast content and none of the traditional rustic, dry qualities. Nevertheless, a highly quaffable, refreshing, unique concoction here.

Initial smell is light, setting you up for the ambush to come. Pours cloudy blond with only a little head and not much lacing. The aroma has a little wild yeast and fruity fermentation that burns into the nostrils. Taste is a real zinger. Has that fermented citrus feel to it that outs a big tang on the tongue. palate is big ad varied. Aftertaste sweet and sour all at once. On tap at volos.

Sampled from the tap. pours a hazy gold with slight orange hue and white head that dissipates slowly up the edges. Aroma has notes of flora and light citrus with a hint of sweet grain and Belgian yeast. Flavor starts with light citrus and is backed by light fruit and grain with a bit of Belgian yeast.
