$3.95 pint can, Wine Warehouse. Pours black, slightly thicker, with a large dark brown head. Aroma is sweet chocolate, dark fruit. Flavor is dark chocolate, sweet milk chocolate, dark fruit, caramel, molasses. Alcohol definitely present. Chewy, pretty sweet, perhaps too sweet.

Can from Craft Brewed shared. Pours a thick and viscous, motor oil black with a full 2 fingers of brown foam that lingers, then dissipates. Lots of dark roasted coffee and malt, charred Okinawan black sugar, deep, roasty cacao nib notes as well. Thick and full-bodied, chewy stout. Lingering roast, coffee and charred molasses. A big beer and well made but a bit too much for me. --- Beer merged from original tick of Stillwater Critical Thinking on 22 Apr 2018 at 13:24 - Score: 8

16 ounce can into snifter, canned on 3/28/2018. Pours opaque pitch black color with a 2 finger dense and rocky tan head with insane retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts the whole glass. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Perfect appearance. Aromas of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, caramel, toffee, nuttiness, toasted oats, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of licorice, raisin, prune, pepper, smoke, char, vanilla, leather, tobacco, herbal, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/black/roast/bready malt; light-moderate fruity/spicy yeast, and earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, caramel, toffee, nuttiness, toasted oats, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of licorice, raisin, prune, pepper, smoke, char, vanilla, leather, tobacco, herbal, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Very mild herbal hop, roast/char bitterness; and yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, caramel, toffee, nuttiness, toasted oats, dark/brown bread, licorice, dark fruit, pepper, smoke, char, vanilla, leather, tobacco, herbal, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/black/roast/bready malt; light-moderate fruity/spicy yeast, and earthy hop flavors; with an awesome hop/roast bitter/sweet and yeast spiciness balance; with zero cloying/acrid flavors after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/roast bitterness and yeast spiciness. Light-medium carbonation and very full body; with a very smooth, creamy, silky, bready, and velvety mouthfeel that is fantastic. Slight sticky hops and chalky roast. Minimal warming alcohol for 11%. Overall this is an amazing Belgian imperial stout! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/black/roast/bready malt; light-moderate fruity/spicy yeast, and earthy hop flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the big ABV, with the mildly bitter/spicy/drying finish. Insanely rich and complex malts; with restrained fruity/spicy yeast, and solid earthy hop balance. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. I love Belgian stouts, wish there were more available.
