Pours very hazy deep ruby red, light orange/pink/purple color with a small dense light pink head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, red grape, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and biscuit dough; with light toast, pepper, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of raspberries, fruity/acidic yeast, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, red grape, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and biscuit dough; with light toast, pepper, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang; light herbal/grassy bitterness, and spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, red grape, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, biscuit, dough, light pepper/funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, fruity/acidic yeast, and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with no puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tartness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly acidic/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.5%. Overall this is a fantastic imperial fruited Berlier weisse! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, fruity/acidic yeast, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink for the ABV; with the mellowly acidic/tangy/drying finish, not overly lactic. Amazingly jammy raspberries; with balanced Lacto complexity, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example for an imperial version.
