Pours a murky amber-orange, with little to no head. Smell is raspberry. Taste is nicely sour, in that berliner way, with a good bit of tart raspberry. More dry than fruity sweet, with a light puckering at first. Refreshing, tart and pretty tasty.

Got in a BIF from KMitch. 12 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours very hazy deep ruby red, light orange/pink/purple color with a small dense light pink head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, red grape, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and biscuit dough; with light toast, pepper, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of raspberries, fruity/acidic yeast, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, red grape, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and biscuit dough; with light toast, pepper, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang; light herbal/grassy bitterness, and spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, red grape, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, biscuit, dough, light pepper/funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, fruity/acidic yeast, and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with no puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tartness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly acidic/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.5%. Overall this is a fantastic imperial fruited Berlier weisse! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, fruity/acidic yeast, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink for the ABV; with the mellowly acidic/tangy/drying finish, not overly lactic. Amazingly jammy raspberries; with balanced Lacto complexity, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example for an imperial version.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours an unclear pomegranate ruby color with a finger of off-white foam that dissipates quickly. Light sulphur aromas at first, that dissipate and give way to lots of raspberry and blackberry notes. Some mild booze and grain notes as it warms. Fairly smooth with a balanced fruit note on the palate. More dry and fruit-forward than tart. Some lingering tartness on the finish with some fruit skin astringency. Pretty solid effort all around. --- Beer merged from original tick of Imperial Paradise Now on 06 Sep 2018 at 00:39 - Score: 7. Original review text: Quite nice.
