An amber beer style that was developed over 200 years ago to celebrate the original Oktoberfest. The Märzen name comes from “March beer” because it was historically brewed in March to be at peak flavor for the Oktoberfest celebration. Today this style is available year-round in the US due to popular demand.

Pretty plain but a decent representation of the style. Or, it's more accurate to say that this is pretty OG and other brewers merely improved upon it somewhat.

Clear brownish amber. Sweet toasted malts, hint of red fruits, grain, a taste of rye. Sweet, lightened by some light grassy and floral hops. Bit sweet, somewhat bitter too.

330 ml bottle. Brilliant amber pour. Large frothy beige head. Toasted malt aroma hints at toffee. Toasted malt flavor has a subtle tanginess. Notes of brown sugar and brown bread. Some spicy hops in finish.
