Bottle at home. Pours deep brown, nose is chocolate, caramel, toffee, vanilla, brown sugar, dark fruits, taste is similar, light sweetness, chewy, delicious.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 5/28/2015. Pours hazy deep reddish brown color with a 1 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of caramel, toffee, toast, brown sugar, brown bread, raisin, plum, fig, pear, vanilla, coconut, bourbon, oak, light chocolate/nuttiness, and oak/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt and bourbon barrel notes; with good strength. Taste of big caramel, toffee, toast, brown sugar, brown bread, raisin, plum, fig, pear, vanilla, coconut, bourbon, oak, light chocolate/nuttiness, and oak/toasted earthiness. Minimal bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toffee, toast, brown bread, dark fruit, vanilla, coconut, bourbon, and oak/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt and bourbon barrel flavors; with a great malt/barrel balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Light carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a smooth, moderately creamy/silky, and lightly slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is fairly well hidden with a light-moderate warmth lingering after the finish; but never boozy. Overall this is an excellent barrel aged imperial brown ale style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt and bourbon barrel flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
