Bottle big thanks to Ken. It pours darkest amber with a thick tan head. The nose is toast, earth, pine, varnish, plenty of dark fruit, toffee, vanilla and toasted cocoa. The taste is toffee, candy, toast, earth, wood, vanilla, hot cross bun, raisin, dried fig, oily and molasses with a dry, sweet finish. Medium-full body, fine prickly carbonation and viscous mouth-feel. An interesting and flavoursome beer for sure, but far too sweet for me to enjoy much of.

Bottle shared at Bruceβs in London - big thanks to Kenneth. Pours brown-black with a tight, creamy tan head. Dark bread on the nose with notes of burnt wood, toasted toffee, dried dark fruits, molasses and cocoa. Medium to big sweet flavor with lots of molasses, toffee, lightly burned wood, dark fruits. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warm finish but not nearly has hot as you might expect, lots more toffee and molasses, dark fruits, touches of earth, figs. Solid. Great balance for the strength.

Bottled. Nose of bourbon, some coffee, caramel. Tart, hoppy flavor. Very sweet and a bit harsh. Doesnβt really seem to work yet--needs time to come together. Too green and boozy.

Sampled @ RB Danish Summer Gathering 2013 day 2, Ulfborg. Bottle. Nice dark brown color with a dark red glare coming through. Small to medium sized tan head. Nice aroma of malts, wood and whiskey. Taste malts, wood, whiskey, slightly sweet and alcohol. Full body and carbonation. A bit too much carbonation imo which takes some of the flavor away. Still a very nice beer though.
