Pours a black body. Aroma's: roasty, coffee, along with some fruity (or coffee) sourness and sweetness retronasal. Flavour is above moderate sweet, with coffee roast. Fairly full bodied. Long finish with roast, bitter chocolate, coffee. Based on previous Horus beers, this was much better (i.e. less sweet) than expected.

Sample at Tide's Residence, Helsinki. Color is dark brown with small slightly brownish head. Aromas and flavours: Coffee, some toffee, chocolate and roasted malts.

650ml bottle. Sweet, stingy and heavy with some coffee, toffee, granola, cocoa, earthiness and stuffy notes. A bit too stingy, not as balanced as other Horus beers.

Bottle @ Black September, Ratebeer Odense. The Texas connection. Pours Black with a small beige head. Coffee, Wood, fishy and meaty. Oak. Vinous. Long finish..

Black september, Oluf Bagers Gade. Black with a small tan head. Roasted aroma with licorice, charcoal and ink. Sweet and thick roasted flavour licorice, cocoa and molasses with a touch of wood.

Bottle shared at Alex's birthday bash. Pours a deep brown to black with a small beige head that dissipates. Toasted pecan, cacao nib, vanilla and light vanilla on the nose. Some caramel and chocolate as it warms up. Sweet on the palate, but some light coffee-like roastiness mid-palate. Lingering vanilla and chocolate on the finish with some light pecan notes.

Pours black, no real head. Smell is full, tad sweet. Taste is full, roasty, mild coffee. Hidden pecan nuts ( rise up more towards the aftertaste ) . Very nice, but I enjoyed Proper Dose far more.
