From the coast of California comes Mind Haze, a free-spirited beer made to elevate your perceptions—juicy yet balanced, hazy yet lasting, and loaded with an imaginative array of tropical hop flavors.

In the words of Brewmaster Matt Brynildson, “Mind Haze offers the best of what you expect from a hazy IPA. But we’re going about it a little differently, and that’s what gives Mind Haze its own unique signature. We’re finally ready to do a hazy IPA the Firestone way.”

355 ml can. Hazy orange, foamy head. Orange zest, a bit pine, apricot, lactose, lemon, mild floral hops. Mild hoppy bitterness, fruity sweetness. Medium bodied, milky chewy texture, soft carbonated, dry citrus finish. Decent!

Must say, I am somewhat over the hazy style IPA. But if I can obtain a single, I will keep trying them. This 12 oz can came by way of the local beer store that stocks the harder to get brews. I have the beer cold and going into my Cowtown snifter. I am greeted by an opaque, pale-yellow body finished with a fleeting head of totally white foam. The nose is pleasant, citrus fruit, tropical fruit and a hint of the hops. On a very warm Texas afternoon I am enjoying the taste of pineapple, orange rind, lime, straw and pine. There is a depth here I have not been finding with the thinness of recent NEIPAs. Quite decent.

04-03-20 // taster from a can. 9 month old can. No coldchain can help a beer like this to survive that long without loosing all the hop flavours. This was flat and bland. It’s a pity.
