Pours dark brown with brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, with chocolate and caramel. There is a hint cinnamon in the aroma. The flavour is sweet, with some roasted notes.

Søt lakrisaktig. Virker litt ubalansert med mye bitterhet og en litt flat og rar, mørk smak. Men ok

Svart med lavt tykt lys brunt skum. Kakao, mørk sjokolade, brødeig og lakrislukt. Litt enklere i smak, lett, noe kakao i smak. Lite kullsyre

Bottle split with sarah at the flat in Copenhagen. Aroma is subdued raw grain, roasted barley. Some sweet lactose. Opaque dark brown with a thin light tan head that is fleeting. Flavour is sweet lactose sugars, milk chocolate and mild roast, some fruity yeast esters. Smooth palate and semi crisp in the finish. Slightly ashy in the finish. OK.

Sampled from bottle @ The Hague Tasting. Black color, small beige to slightly brownish head. Smell and taste malts, lightly caramel, lightly sweet-bitter. Average body and carbonation. Ok beer.

Bottle at the "Lets celebrate the fact that Dean is already the Mayor of M&S Den Haag even though it’s only been open for 24 hours tasting!". Poured a clear dark brown with a thin off white head. The aroma is coffee toffee malt hop. The flavour is medium to strong bitter light sweet with an oily rich malt hop bitter palate and a short bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle someone forgot at my place. Pours tiny hazy reddish black brown with a rather big fizzy dark mocha head that leaves a small trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty with roasted malts, burnt cereal, liquorice root, pumpernickel bread, lemon zest, hay and soil. Taste is sweet, bitter and malty with roasted malts, burnt cereal, soil, wood, hay, sour dough bread and hints of caramel. Mouthfeel is round, soft, tiny roasted astringent, tiny watery and light to medi bodied. Finish is bitter and malty with dark bread, burnt cereal, hay, wood and soil. Nothing wrong except the label but it’s not very impressive either. --- Beer merged from original tick of Mors Stout on 27 Jan 2014 at 01:28 - Score: 6

50cl bottle thanks to Onkelgobber. Pours opaque black with a slim head. The nose has liquorice and coffee. The taste is more on the milk chocolate side but again with some liquorice. The palate starts dry-ish followed by a sweet creamy chocolate note - it goes dry into sweet and then falls away elegantly. Overall, a good stout.
