(33cl bottle) Clear, very dark mahogany, almost black colour with a medium-sized light-brown foamy head. Moderately sweet and roasted malty nose with cacao and chocolate. Bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Roasty malty taste with light burnt edges and notes of dark chocolate and coffee; bitter and slightly sweet, delicately roasted finish, not too long but with a touch of chocolate in the aftertaste.

33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black. Has a light brown and dense head, quickly collapsing into a little lacing head. Roasted malt aroma with a very minor citrus fruity note. Roasted malt flavour with a mild chocolate smoothness. Has a minor metallic note. Ends mellow and smooth roasted malty, only a very mild bitterness.

Bottle. Dark, reddish brown body and a beige to tan head. Coffee, burnt and lightly fruity aroma and flavor with a decent bitterness. Medium to full body. A decent beer, and not as special as some of the Refsvindinge beers. Rating: 6-4-6-3-13-3.2. 070427

Bottle. Dark brown in color, clear, and topped by a nice brown head. Roasted aroma with butterscotch and some dried fruits. Dark sugars, butterscotch, roasted malts and dried fruits in the flavor. Roasted finish. The body is medium to full. A quite nice one, but I would like it without the butterscotch, at least in the flavor. Drinks easy. 100611

Throws a huge darkish brown head. Opaque black body goes deep dark red at edges. Mild milky, dry burnt aroma with faint earthy notes. Taste is sweetish milky chocolate with some burntness and light wooden notes. A bit watery, but mouthfeel is still somewhat oily. Dry, thin burnt aftertaste with some acidity. Decent, but very boring, and too watery. (0.33l bottle.)

Slush draught. Plastic cup with straw. Well, a chunky slush drink that is quite sweet. Flavour is a bit chocolaty, but I do not get much out of it. 4 3 6 3 13

A black slush beer which gives it ice chunks sitting in the glass with the beer around it - and absolutely no head. The aroma is very vagely sweet - but too light - probably due to the low serving temperature. While the flavor is interesting, since it is like iced coffee - quite nice, and I believe quite refreshing in the sun on a hot summer day.

A black beer with a light brown head. The aroma is slightly smoked and slightly sweet. The flavor though is a boring flat stout flavor - next to no flavor.
