This beer is an experience of such perceptual vastness you have to reconfigure your mental models of the world to assimilate it. Life and this beer are in between banality and wonder, between disconnection and radiant ecstasy, uninfected by the here and now to living in the present.

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish gold with a finger of white foam that dissipates. Big boozy nose with caramel, honey and orange zest. Notes of grapefruit, toasted caramel, honeyed bread and granola on the palate. Lingering pithy bitterness with toasted caramel and booze. --- Beer merged from original tick of Mantra Bhang Bhang on 08 Jun 2019 at 11:00 - Score: 7. Original review text: Boozy and caramely. Not my jam. --- Beer merged from original tick of Bhang Bhang on 01 Jun 2019 at 12:16 - Score: 7. Original review text: Lots of pine, mango, orange zest and caramel aromas. Slightly boozy nose. More booze on the palate w/ citrus zest, pith & caramel.

Another brilliant IPA from Mantra. Huge funky Simcoe nose, full of weed and citric cat pee craziness. Looks beautiful, tastes better. Hits you with an immediate burst of bright, juicy herbal-citric hops, then grows a massive stickybun middle, laced with sweet orange marmalade and caramel, then eases into a slightly bitter, slightly sweet finish. IBUs linger on the palate but not oppressively, and the fade is pure DIPA bliss. Drink this beer. Right now.
