When the King was crowned, fans in his home town of Akron were excited and proud! But his departure left a sour taste in their mouths making Akron salty about losing their King, and wanting to forget. Now to honor his return and share these sour and salty feelings, we have brewed a beer to express these feelings in flavor, which was a nearly forgotten style itself! This rare Gose style beer is refreshingly sour and salty, and was nearly forgotten - now it’s making a come-back, and so is our King!

From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Aroma is ripe fruits, citrus, lemon, spicy notes, coriander, and soft wheat. Flavour is salty and sweet with only a hint of sourness. Body is medium. Decent, but not an exciting Gose.

Bottle at a tasting. No head, little carbonation. Muddy colour. Array of apples in both aroma and flavour more or less defining the character. Not really evocative of gose in any way except little sourness. Average at best.

bottle from boxbeer. clear light yellow, small white head. mild aroma, citrus or lemongrass, malts, flavor is salty, citrussy, faint malts, faint herbal. the salty and slightly soursih note is well balanced by sweet malty flowery hops. well tasting gose, it manages to work well despite the high abv.
