Bottle at THE Eclipse Tasting, London. Bottle #182, purple wax. Thanks to Bruce for sharing! Pours dark brown, clear, with a frothy beige head. Dark, burnt wood nose, some dark cherries, boozy cocoa. Big sweet flavor with dark bread, some molasses, brown sugar, moderate roast, light bitter earth. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly chewy. Warm finish with plenty of oily cocoa, a bit of alcohol, and modest dry wood notes. Very good.

Tasting at Gourmet Haus during SF Beer Week. Out of a snifter. Amazing bourbon aroma jumps out of the glass inviting one to rush to taste this. This drink is to be savored. Taste picks up some cola hints, which are interesting.

Catchup from the past. Bomber from the Co-Op in Davis, CA. Purple wax. Bottle No. 106. Year 2009. Pours very black with a 1 finger tan head. Strong aromas of oak and vanilla. More than full bodied with rather mild carbonation. The flavor is very smooth burnt malt, with treacle, vanilla and oak. Compares very favorably with Paradox. It develops complexity, and shows a little heat. Very, very good. Worth the cost? You only live once. And the aroma continuously tantalizes, and the taste ditto. Try to try it.

Bottle shared by Kan or Adam (thanks!) at the 2010 RBSG Grand Tasting. Poured near black with a yellow brown head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma had dark grains some coffee, caramel, licorice and definite bourbon. Flavor had more coffee with growing bourbon with caramel and licorice backing.
