Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is sweet brown malt with spices, caramel, brown sugar, kruidkoek, hint of wood, more clove. Flavour is rather sweet with a light bitterness. Medium body. Overtly sweet and spicy, not what I want from a Bock.

330ml bottle. Opalescent, chestnut colour wit ruby shimmer and average to huge, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, chocolately, dark malty and herbal-spicy aroma, hints of ginger, cinnamon, allspice, aniseed, bog myrtle or the like, some caramel. Taste is sweet-ish, dark and caramel malty, slightly herbal-spicy, hints of malt lozenge, caramel, herbs. Watery texture, minimally dry palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Nice composition - works for me.

Bottled (from De Biertonne). Deep rubyish brown colour with a mediumsized foamy beige head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is spices, rye, some alcohol, mild fruits and some toffee. Flavour is toffee, alcohol, some fruits, mild spices and some mild rye and toasted tones. Quite pleasant as it warms up a bit.

33cl Fles, van vorig jaar nog. Donkerbruine kleur, beige kraag. Flink veel kruidnagel in de geur, donkere mout, wat chocolade, smaak is echter mierzoet, suikerwater, wat donker fruit, meer kruidnagel. Veel te zoet.
