Blend of lambics aged on average 16 to 18 months and of Merlot grapes.
Lambic can be rightly considered the missing link between the worlds of wine and beer, and Saint Lamvinus takes this one step further by adding grapes normally intended for wine production.
Intense, fruity beer that lingers on the palate and has a clear connection to its winemaking origins.

Its about time to rate this. This bottle has come around a few times of the years at tastings. I remember when this was always available for purchase in Long Island but no one wanted to pay the outrageous price tag. Now this is a whale and no one can get it. I was working a pouring station and pouring this beer at Snallygaster 2018. Had a few sneaks for myself and though its about time to rate it. As other Canitllons this is more acidic and rougher. Compared to other lambics the color is beautiful and the grapes really come through. Its this paradox of sweet grapes and Cantillon aggression.
