Sampled at THT November. Hazy light amber with white head. Whisky indeed, dried plums, vanilla, booze, sweet malts, raisins, dry dusty notes, soft flowery. Medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied with dry finish.

Fairly hazy golden brown with a small off white head. Aroma of whiskey, oak, malt, overripe dark fruits and caramel. Flavour is above moderate sweet and bitter. Above medium bodied with light carbonation.

Bottled 330ml (Smaakhuis) Dark amber colour, small off-white head. Light aroma has honey, fruits and alcohol. Medium-bodied. Flavour is like watered down quadrupel (raisins, dates) with honey and whiskey aroma (whiskey is more like a tiny punch of alcohol and vanilla). Not much aftertaste. Not very successful infusion here.

Bottle. Copper muddy color. Aroma of raisin, figs, honey, sugar, ripe fruit and caramel. Taste has sweet yeast ester, honey, caramel, raisin, figs, candi sugar and some sweet fruity whisky. Not bad, bit simple perhaps, but enjoyable.

Small yellow head over fully muddy deep red-brown beer. End of bottle solid yeast. Maltsyrup, molasses, waffles, vinous, raisins, figs, aucuba leaves, laurelcherry. Woody, again sweet but more as honey, fortified wine, spirit. Sweetness is not excessive, however, some (vinous) faint acidity and even some bitterish hints. Exotic wood, banana, raisins. Well-bodied, alcoholthinning and -heath, not very carbonated. Quite decent American Barley wine. OK, OK, Quad.
