355ml bottle thanks to BenH. Appearance - opaque black and viscous with fawn head. Nose - dark chocolate with booze and spiced fruit cake. Taste - raisins sweet spices and chocolate all engulfed in a boozy case. Palate - full bodied with a big sweet viscous texture and a fairly balanced finish despite the big sweetness at the front. Overall - yeah great stuff. A multi dimensional imperial stout.

355 ml bottle at home. Black color with a very nice brown head. Aroma is roasted malty full of chocolate, some coffee, fruity (raisins) and alcohol. Taste begins sweet but it becomes very bitter quickly. Milk chocolate, dark chocolate and coffee. Full body, creamy, flat carbonation, bitter coffee finish.

0.355l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. A little treat on this Easter day. It has a deep deep dark brown body with a small islandy and side sticking brown top. It has quite a deep and somewhat complex aroma. Somewhat on the sweet side with lots of sweet licorice, lots of confectionery chocolate. So much that I'm having a hard time member in the last time I had this much confectionery chocolate in a beer. Soft vanilla, a little gift of green banana and oak. Not sure if this had been barreled on anything, but it definitely smells of oak. A little bit of charcoal and lots of licorice! It's really comfortably carbonated with a good solid oily mouthfeel. Chocolate, roasted, a fantastic bitterness. Just a lovely flavored beer. The finish is packed with dark chocolate. Almost like I've finished a plate of dark chocolate by myself. 31.03.2013

12 oz. bottle, thanks to Dunn4040. Pours black, with a small, brown head. The aroma is strong coffee and bitter chocolate, caramel, faint cherries and tobacco, cinnamon, and peat. Very sweet and malty, with a light roasted bitterness. Very heavy body, sticky, syrupy, and a little chalky. This is a quite a nice stout. Thick, sticky-sweet, and very aromatic. This bottle is about a year old, and I can imagine a few more wouldn’t hurt.

Oily black colour, dark brown foam. Soft carbonation. Full body. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Very bitter hoppy finish. Not much sweetness. Well balanced. Good!

Dark brown to black beer, creamy dense beige to brown head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: some chlorine, cocoa powder, sweet, dark chocolate, some caramel, charcoal. MF: soft carbon, full body, smooth texture. Taste: fruity start, berries, little sourish, caramel, sweet, lots of chocolate, cocoa powder. Aftertaste: pretty bitter and hoppy, sweet caramel, mocha, coffee, dark chocolate, alcohol, sugary touch, very yum yum!

Bottle at home, purchased Florida, rate # 700. 1st March 14. Cracked the bottle the aroma punched me in the face, full on, thick liquorice, chocolate and leather. Pours, viscous and rich, taste is rich, liquorice, salty smooth and decadent. Top drawer!

Tap at Jeffrey. Pours jet black with pretty beige head and great lacing. Nose is chocolate and light hops. Mouthfeel is excellent velvety texture. Tastes of chocolate, plums, light leather, molasses, coffee, and some pine. Despite being rich in no way cloying and abv is pretty well hidden making this dangerously drinkable. Hopslam kicked before I got here bit this is fine consolation.

Tykflydende sort, tæt brunt skum. Intens aroma af engelsk lakrids. Smagen er tyk og fed, cremet med malt, bitterhed og mørke bær. Altsammen varer ved i lang eftersmag, suppleret af boozy alkohol. Wow.
