It fights like a bulldog on your palate - Brutal Bulldog Double IPA is an intense acquaintance. Dry hopped twice and with an alcoholic strength of 8.4%, it offers a taste experience beyond the ordinary. The two unique hop varieties Galaxy from Australia and Nelson Sauvin from New Zealand gives a fruity aroma reminiscent of tropical fruit.

33 cl bottle @ Oluthune Pekko as βGotlands Byggeri Brutal Bulldog Double IPAβ, BBE 05.12.2012
Aroma is quite nice and somewhat sweet with exotic fruits, resin, caramel and biscuits. Also some hay later on. Flavour is rather strong and somewhat stale on gooseberry bush and glue typical to DIPAs. A bit juicy. The glue notes get stronger towards the end.

Bottled 330ml (Beer Hunters, BB 12/2012)
Clear deep red color, small off-white head, little lacing. Aroma of hay, dill and rye bread. Medium-bodied. Sticky palate, harsh herbal-hayish bitterness, alcohol. Light tart fruityness in the background. Quite brutal hop profile.

(Bottle, 0,33 l - BBE 2012-12-05, at Black Door, 20120725) The beer poured mahogany coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had hops, glue, pine and black currant leaves. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were hops, pine, black currant, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, sweet and bitter. A boozy and gluey DIPA but there were some good parts, too.
